Spyros Karababas served as business development director of Cytech from September 2019 up to January 2022. During the early beginning he was able to identify strenghts and weeknesses of the team and establish very early a strong team bonding. One of the first major decisions he took was to explore other markets such as cyber security.
He established a partnership with a company in the EID field (Electronic Identification), and that prooved to be the turning point for the company. Due to that collaboration Spyros held meetings with the ministry of digitization discussing about the subject so the ministry now new of Cytech’s existance. Then Covid striked.
So, early summer 2019 the ministry got in contact with the company to explore if they could work together on the PLF (passenger locator form). It started of from PLF and went down to most of the Covid related projects as Cytech was building a unique, crisis management, experience worldwide. The company undertook the EUPLF (italy, Malta, Germany, France, Slovenia) and the most well known project the EUDCC, digtal covid certificate.
The digital transformation had massive impact in the tourism industry, society, health, economy and changed the perception for many people about Greece.
